Sarah Gordy · The story behind the work

About

Between worlds,
I learned to
build bridges.

My life has been shaped by contradictions, opposites, edges, and things I was told could not coexist. My practice became cultivating a home to hold it all.

The thread through it all

I was told long ago that my purpose was to be a bridge in this life.

For a long time, I didn’t understand what that meant. Still, the words stayed with me because I could sense their truth. I’ve always felt things deeply and followed my heart. That’s what led me from a small town in Germany to Los Angeles at twenty-five.

Along the way, I discovered my passion for spiritual psychology. Its teachings helped me rebuild my life many times over as I moved through divorce, the deaths of loved ones, pregnancy losses, and the challenges of living far from everything I had known.

“The work is not to choose one world over another. It is to find peace in the present moment when life pulls you in so many different directions.”

A path between disciplines

The edges became
the cornerstones.

My professional work brought me into addiction counseling, recovery spaces, and facilitation in clinical and non-clinical settings. I learned how much can change when people feel seen, consider new possibilities, and are reminded of their potential and power.

For my master’s degree, I chose a non-clinical path in East-West Psychology, an approach that speaks to different ways of knowing and healing I have always resonated with: a blend of Western psychology, spiritual wisdom, the power of community, and deep transformation on all levels of awareness.

refuse to become only one thing.

Here, the opposites are not problems to solve. They are invitations: to listen more closely, live more fully and find steadiness within a life that may pull in many directions.
